The iPhone 7 Plus goes for $669 for a 32 GB model and $769 for a $128 GB model. Of course, it’s a little less exciting to get anything less than the latest and greatest. But I’ll tell you what… I have always been one or two generations behind on my iPhone and I’ve never felt paralyzed by FOMO. In fact, I have no intention of upgrading my iPhone 6S unless it breaks (which, given my track record, is actually pretty likely). I’ve been feeling less and less compelled to get the latest iPhone model as the years go on. Haters will say that it’s due to a lack of innovation on Apple’s part. But I won’t go that far. The thing is: an iPhone 6S is still a really fantastic phone. It works perfectly and the camera is stunning. Oh, and it has a headphone jack. If you have an iPhone 5 or earlier, then it’s worth considering an upgrade to an iPhone 7. It’ll feel like night and day, but you’ll be spending a whole lot less than those clamoring for an iPhone 8. What do you think? Which iPhone model do you currently have? Would you consider upgrading to an iPhone 7 or an iPhone 8? My recommendation is, don’t upgrade unless you have to: Apple no longer supports it with new iOS versions or it breaks or the 16 GBs is excruciating to use. I am still loving my Nexus 6P. It has far more power for anything I would ever need it for and as long as it doesn’t break I am good. It’s also modern enough that I was able to install Oreo on it. Keep in mind also is when you look at the specs, there isn’t anything of consequence different between the iPhone 8 or 8 plus compared to the X. Also, the iPhone X is a “first-gen” device in a lot of ways. How well is the Face Recognition even going to work in the real world? We don’t know. Like Jack mentions, Getting an iPhone 7 is probably a good way to go for most people if they NEED to get a new iPhone. Comment Name * Email *
